Pregnancy pictures!
No don't worry, I'm not pregnant again! To back-track in time just a little bit, when I was about 37 weeks pregnant, my good friend, Kayla, was sweet enough to do a photo shoot so I could have some pictures to remember my huge belly by (is that something that I want to remember though...jk). Here are some of my favorites (they photography was excellent for all of them but I wasn't the best looking in all of them haha).

The last 6 weeks
Our sweet Caleb is already almost 8 weeks old! (And it is taking some willpower to use the word 'sweet'...he has been crying nonstop today, bless his heart)
Caleb is growing, although it seems like slow growth to us, those who haven't seem him very often say he is starting to pack on the chub. I hope so, I want him to be a super chubby, cuddly baby.
Our nights are starting to take on a real routine, thank goodness! I'll feed him between 9pm-10pm and then he will wake up between 3-4am and again at 5-6am. Not the greatest but since he has started to eat super fast and fall asleep very quickly after eating it makes the nights bearable. My favorite days are those when I wake up in the morning and don't feel like I need to immediately take a nap, haha.
He is still eating around every 2 hours during the day. I can't speak much for his daytime naps because those are totally unpredictable. The only way I know when he is ready to take a nap is when he starts getting fussy, which will usually occur about an hour after eating, if he is actually tired. Often times he will stay happily awake between feedings. With the exception of today, where the only time he isn't crying is when he is nursing, again, bless his heart.
Caleb is becoming more and more smiley. He used to only smile during his sleep but now he will smile either spontaneously, when we tickle his cheek, or when we are smiling at him. He is most smiley in the morning.
He barely squeezes into newborn clothes, 0-3 month clothes are just about right (depending on the brand) and he can wear some 3 month clothes.
He is starting to discover his fist and his tongue. He spent 30 minutes yesterday just sticking his tongue in and out of his mouth. He will wave his right fist around his head and stare at it intensely. We aren't sure if he is trying to will his fist to move to his mouth or if he just likes looking at it wave around. He sometimes will lick his fist once it actually finds his mouth.
As far as being a mom, I am getting more and more used to sleep deprivation haha. Even still, you don't want to cross my path between 6am-9am. Poor Justin :-( . I have realized two things about being a stay-at-home mom (that apply to me at least) 1. I like staying home pretty much all day because it allows me to feed whenever Caleb needs it (immediate feeding = happy baby = happy mom). This isn't to say I haven't gone out at all but my outings with just me and Caleb are few so far. 2. I thought I was being lazy for the last 7 weeks but today proved to me why I don't try to get much done during the day. If I do have something I really want to get done and my baby is crying non-stop then I get really frustrated and impatient that I can't get my task accomplished. Ere go, by not having any tasks on my plate I can cater to my baby and not get frustrated (or as frustrated). Now I say these two things with the caveat that I know this has got to change. I can't be chained to my house forever and I can't always wait until the evenings to get anything done. I am hoping with a little more time and a better established eating/sleeping schedule, I will go out and get more done each day!
Justin is still a great dad, he helps out when I really need him to during the nights and he is good to give Caleb and me a break from each other in the evenings. I think Caleb likes his dad bonding time in the evening. Caleb better soak it all up now because Justin starts back to his MBA program in a couple of weeks and there will be very little dad time :-( and husband time for that matter! Now that's something I could cry about!
We blessed Caleb on July 31st. Justin gave him a beautiful blessing, it was a very special day. We are so blessed to have the Priesthood in our home, it is something I am so grateful for!
That same day we also started the Blackham family reunion in Heber. The reunion went from Sunday-Wednesday. We stayed at a beautiful cabin, played games and ate lots of great food! We look forward to the future Blackham reunions!
